Preorder Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii

Buy.com offers preorders on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the first Wii games to allow Internet multiplayer action. This fighting game pits every Nintendo franchise character against any other - Pokemon vs. Solid Snake vs. Link vs. Mario and more. Buy.com has it for $48.99 with free shipping, although California buyers can save about $4 at Amazon, where it's $49.99 but no sales tax is levied.

Adorama SanDisk rebate deals

Adorama has several SanDisk Extreme III (20MB/s) CompactFlash cards for excellent prices after mail-in rebate. Adorama adds a 10% bonus if you choose to get the rebate in the form of a gift certificate for their site instead of a Visa debit card.

Samsung Color Laser for $115 at geeks.com

Geeks.com has the Samsung CLP-300 color laser printer, refurbished, for $115. Shipping runs approximately $15 for ground, or SoCal residents can do local pickup for no charge. This is about $100 less than a comparable new model. Samsung laser printers are excellent in my experience (our previous printer was a Samsung and I am considering ordering this one as well).

Britax Sale at Amazon.com

Amazon.com is offering up to 20% off many Britax products for a limited time. Britax is a rarely-discounted brand and it's hard to find deals even on eBay, so this is an excellent deal.

Onkyo TX-SR605 for $339 at Amazon

Amazon offers the Onkyo TX-SR605 surround receiver, in silver only (black is $40 more) for $339 with free shipping. This receiver is Onkyo's lowest-priced receiver with HDMI upconversion for all inputs. This means any device, with any connector (composite, S-video, component, or HDMI) will be output over the receiver's HDMI output, so you need only one connection to your TV. This price is about $30 less than another sale Amazon had about three weeks ago and the lowest total price I could find among reputable vendors.

Another nail in the coffin...

Fresh on the heels of announcements in support of Blu-ray by Netflix and Best Buy, Wal-Mart has announced that they, too, will only stock Blu-ray discs going forward. Good bye, HD-DVD, it was nice knowing you.

TigerDirect has the cheapest Blu-ray player I could find among reputable merchants, the Samsung BDP-1000 at $249. For a player with more features, including Dolby TrueHD decoding, consider the well-reviewed Panasonic DMP-BD30K for as low as $429 shipped via Amazon.com:
